Crane Creek Country Club Spotlight

Are you looking to purchase real estate near your favorite country club? Or are you relocating to the Boise area with the golf resort lifestyle in mind?

With Boise’s temperate weather, and desert landscape, the Boise area is the perfect climate for golfers. With over ten courses just in the Boise area alone, there are plenty of options for resort style living – Crane Creek being one of our favorites.

REAL ESTATE

The homes near Crane Creek Country Club are in the Highlands neighborhood, located between Bogus Basin Road and the Camel’s Back Reserve. Just ten minutes from downtown Boise, the Highlands area is perched on top of the Boise foothills. Many homes have panoramic views of the city and country club, making the neighborhood highly desired for both golfers and non-golfers alike. Land prices in the Highlands neighborhood range from $300k – $900K while homes start at an average price point of $1.5M. Being a homeowner in this area is a luxury in the city of Boise. Many residents enjoy the dramatic city views, take personal golf carts from their garage to the golf course, enjoy frequent family dinners at the club, and are only ten minutes to downtown – a lifestyle you can only get with very few homes in the Valley. If you are looking for more information or have any questions regarding Highlands real estate near CCCC, contact us!

THE COURSE

HOLES: 18
PAR: 72
YARDS: 7,071

Crane Creek Country Club, nestled in the Boise Foothills, is an 18-hole course located just minutes north from Downtown Boise. As it is tucked in the foothills, the course has a neighborhood feel with expansive views, making for a very welcoming club for Boise residents.

Designed by Bob E. Baldock in 1963 and redesigned by David B. Druzisky in 2017, the course is challenging with gorgeous mature trees and beautiful undulating terrain. It has tight fairways, lightning quick greens and a canyon that cuts through the back nine holes featuring rolling bent fairways that traverse their way past fairway bunkers. The course is also known for its excellent turf conditions and expertly manicured greens. While not in plain sight, Crane Creek prides itself in preserving and enhancing Boise’s wildlife habitat, earning the title of a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, making it one of the 10% of clubs in the nation to have achieved this commitment.

THE CLUB

We all know that joining a country club comes with more perks than just golf. Crane Creek is home to many other luxury amenities that are worth considering when looking at country clubs in the Boise area.

CCCC also features an Olympic-sized saline-based swimming pool, complete with a diving board and poolside food and beverage service. Members can lay by the pool, order delicious salads or smoothies and recreate or relax. The Poolside Grill offers everything from giant ice cream cones for kids to some of the best burgers in town. For swimmers outside of leisure, the club also offers private swim lessons, adult lap swimming, H20 Fit Class and is home to the Crane Creek Swim Team.

Interested in tennis or pickleball? Crane Creek offers both indoor and outdoor courts for tennis players of all levels. Take advantage of the club’s adult, senior and mixed leagues, weekly clinics for juniors and social events. If you are looking to take your skills to the next level, you can also utilize the tennis pros that run USTA Team Clinics year-round.

THE CLUB’S FUTURE VISION

The members have come to a majority vote to expand the clubhouse to enhance the experience of the club’s members and guests. With the support of its members, CCCC will be moving forward with an addition of a three-story annex. The annex will allow the ability for the club to expand its outdoor seating for dining, devote an indoor court to the popular pickleball, and increase the size of the fitness center and locker rooms. Details are still being finalized, but if you would like an update on this plan, please feel free to reach out to us.

TOP TIPS FOR BUYING LUXURY REAL ESTATE IN BOISE GOLF COMMUNITIES:

  • PLAY A PRACTICE ROUND. As you are deciding on which course to join, it is important to get out and play a practice round at the golf courses you are considering. While all clubs will have wonderful courses, the communities will differ in slight ways. Consider what you find to be of highest priority. Is it the course itself? The amenities? The social events and members? Once you narrow those down, it will help hone in on which community will best suit you.
  • EAT DINNER AT THE CLUB. Not only do many clubs have phenomenal golf, many of them also have great cuisine and dining. When you sign up to be a member at a club, it becomes a place you ultimately spend significant time at. Grab dinner with a few members, meet the staff and experience what it would be like to be a member. As you hope to invite guests to the club and have family meals often, it is important you like their menu and the dining experience.
  • BE PATIENT WHEN IT COMES TO HOMES ON THE MARKET. Some of the best homes in a country club community don’t come on the market often. Don’t rush your purchase. Instead, narrow down your priorities when it comes to the style, price point and amenities of a home you are looking for. Once the right one comes on, you will be more confident in your decision.
  • FIND A LOCAL REAL ESTATE AGENT WITH EXPERIENCE IN THE COMMUNITY. Many real estate professionals in the country club community will know of homes in the area before they hit the market. It will be important to work with someone who has sold homes in the community to best help advocate and advise you start to finish. We have extensive experience in country club communities and would be happy to be a resource for you.

Winery Club Tour – Our Picks For Wine Clubs In The Boise & Garden City Area

“America’s Next Great Wine Region” has been said to be the Snake River Valley. Thus, making Boise and the surrounding Treasure Valley a rising hot spot for wine connoisseurs.

Not only are there plenty of good wineries around town, many Boise wine clubs cannot be beat! Many local wineries have phenomenal wine club offerings that are not only perfect to join but to also give as gifts. If you are looking for a wine club in the Boise area and can’t decide on which one, here is a list of a few of our favorites.

BOISE
HYDE PARK FINE WINES – NORTH END, BOISE

Hyde Park Fine Wines is located on 13th Street in the heart of the historic North End district in Boise. This cute shop has a cozy ambiance, making for the perfect place to meet friends for a glass of wine. Sit outside next to the outdoor fire pits with your dog, or head inside to the library of wines from floor to ceiling.

If you are looking for a particular wine – you have come to the right spot. Owner, Scott McCoy, is the most knowledgeable and helpful wine aficionados there is. Oh, and a sidenote – he is also hilarious and makes great reels on Instagram. For a laugh, check them out here.

You can search for wine by region, varietal, style, or occasion. The wine shop does not serve food but does encourage guests to bring in their own food if they so choose. They will even supply the flatware! You can also shop online in a library of over 800 wine options or have the wine locally delivered.
HYDE PARK FINE WINES’ WINE CLUB:

For only $65/month, club members will receive a selection of three wines from a different country. McCoy will choose the bottles from top-tier products that represent three distinct appellations. He will personalize each subscription box with your name on it as well as a description of tasting notes, history of the wine selection, pairing suggestions and vintner stories.

Once a month you will also receive a FREE tasting flight, wine pickup party and 15% of all bottles in the store and online. We love this wine club, because it gives locals a chance to try wines that they otherwise might not have. We also love that the owner makes the club feel very personal, and he is known for choosing the BEST wines.

If you haven’t checked out Hyde Park Fine Wines, you must! You won’t be disappointed. For more information, visit their website.

FORK’S RESTAURANT – DOWNTOWN BOISE

Fork Restaurant, located on 8th Street, in the center of Downtown Boise is a “sustainable” restaurant with a “loyal to local” pledge, a commitment that the restaurant has made to source their key ingredients from local Boise and Northwest farmers, ranchers, bakers, distillers, brewers, producers and cheese makers.

FORK WINES’ CLUB:

In 2020, the local restaurant discovered the hype around wine increased (cough* COVID cough*), introducing ‘Fork’s Essential Wine Club’ with three different membership levels. All the wines will be sourced from Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, to align with the local pledge to keep things local or regional. Fork has been given the ‘Award of Excellence’ by Wine Spectator nine years in a row – so we trust they know they know a thing or two about wine.

Fork offers three different clubs, including the Select, Choice and Prime – all offering different options for you or a special someone.

Depending on the tier, receive a minimum of 3 bottles per quarter with a $65/year membership fee. All wines will come with tasting notes with suggested food pairing directly from the Fork’s chef. For your club membership, you can choose between an all red package or a blended package of 2 red and a white. When you dine at the restaurant (which is superb), also enjoy 5% off bottles of wine while you are there.

This is one of our favorite wine clubs due to the restaurants commitment to supporting local. For more information, visit their website.
FRANKLIN HOUSE – BOISE NORTH END

Franklin House came to be after two local friends sharing a dream of updating old homes. When one of Boise’s oldest (what used to be) “ice house” became available, they jumped on the opportunity to restore a corner home, built in 1896, on the corner of 15th and Franklin.

The house features five bedrooms, two with private hot-tubs and four bathrooms, that are available to book for overnight stays. It is such a fun way to stay in the heart of Boise, while not having to stay in a hotel. The two owners have transformed the backyard into a beer garden, available for guests – featuring hammock swings, fire pits, great selection of wines and rotating taps.

FRANKLIN HOUSE’S WINE CLUB:

This is one of our favorite wine club options in the Boise area because it is one of the most affordable option in the area. For just $35/month members will receive expertly curated wines from all corners of the world. Depending on the club you choose to join, you will receive one to two bottles monthly, with access to member events, 10% discount on all backyard beverage purchases, and one of our favorite perks – 20% discount on one Franklin House room booking per year. Can you say a steal?!

GARDEN CITY

COILED

Coiled, located in Garden City, just outside of Boise, can be found nestled along the Boise River. The winery is named in honor of Idaho’s first grape-growing appellation, the Snake River Valley. Coiled’s visitors are encouraged to visit the winery to see where the wine is made, while also enjoying the beautiful setting along the river. Guests can also sample their offerings in the inviting and elegant setting of Coiled’s tasting rooms.

COILED’S WINE CLUB

Coiled’s Wine Club is perfect for those who want to have flexibility when it comes to their wine selection. Choose between the Monty Python (6 bottles twice per year) or the Snake Charmer (aka: “The Full Monty” with 12 bottles twice per year) club. Both clubs allow you to choose the wines, receive 10 – 15% discount on purchased wines, have access to limited production wines, receive invitations to private parties and have free tastings each month at the tasting room. For a deeper dive into their options visit their website.

This is our favorite wine club in the Boise area due to its flexibility. Many clubs have preselected wines, but Coiled’s allows you to curate a selection that best suits your taste buds!
TELAYA WINE CO.

This is one of our favorite wineries in the Boise area. Tucked along the Boise River on the infamous Green Belt in Garden City, this family-owned winery has some of the best wine and ambiances around. Open daily, sit outside on their patio and lawn for tastings, grab a bite to eat at local rotating food trucks and catch live music!

Telaya opened in 2008 and has been focused on creating wines that are affordable yet exceptional ever since. They have award winning wines from both the Columbia Valley and the Snake River Valley, making for a winery that has quickly become a local staple.

TELAYA WINE CLUB:

We choose this wine club based on its unbeatable location. The wine club will inspire you to relax and make a visit to this stunning winery along the Boise River as often as you can. Its owners did an impeccable job of creating a beautiful setting for its visitors and wine club members to enjoy – lawn chairs, river views, patio space, and an indoor/outdoor feel.

As a Telaya Wine Club member, you will receive 12 bottles per year with access to exclusive events and certain wines. Can you say a Rosé release party?! Dinners and library tastings are exclusively offered. 12% off additional bottle purchases and 22% off additional case orders are also a large perk to its members.

This wine club has been wildly popular among people of all ages. If you are looking for an excuse to get down to the Boise Greenbelt, drink wine and enjoy friends and family – this wine club is perfect for you!
CINDER WINES

Just three minutes from Downtown Boise, in Garden City, Cinder is a Treasure Valley wine lovers’ favorite. In fact, Cinder Wines has been hailed as one of the “West’s Best Urban Wineries” by Sunset Magazine – so obviously, it is a must visit. And fun fact, the winery is named after the volcanic cinder that is beneath many of the vineyards the company works with.

The tasting room is large, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about all things wine. The winery has won awards for its Shiraz and Off-Dry Riesling, so make sure to order those when you stop by!
CINDER WINE CLUB:

For the serious wine lover with a discerning palate! Members receive 12 bottles of their choosing, twice annually. Here are some other perks:

  • Access to the “Small Lot Series” wines
  • 20% discount on your allocations
  • 15% discount on any other wine purchases
  •  20% discount on any case purchases
  • Free Shipping on all orders of 12 bottles or more!
  • Invitation to our Fall & Spring Release parties held at the winery
  • Access to our Winemakers Dinners, Seminars and other Wine Adventures!
  • Complimentary Tastings at Cinder Winery

Have any more wine related questions? We can pretend we know as much about it as real estate, and would love to join you for a glass on us!

Reserve Conchal is a piece of paradise in the Gold Coast

This iconic development offers the best blend of luxury and natural wonder.

Usually considered to be one of the most beautiful locations in Costa Rica, the magnificent aura of Playa Conchal is such that worldwide development has steadily made a point to make it part of their luxurious offerings. Reserva Conchal, the exclusive 2,300-acre residential and vacation development that leads directly into this paradisiacal beach has grown to become one of Guanacaste’s most iconic communities.

Within Reserva Conchal’s expansive premises, a myriad of different experiences reside, going all the way from high-end amenities to a close relationship with nature.

The amenities include a marvelous ocean view pool, an award-winning golf course and a luxurious beach club with everything you can possibly ask for. In addition to these, delicious international cuisine is readily available at the diverse range of restaurants that include Cocina de mercado, Catalina’s Restaurant, Latitud 10 Norte, Zona Azul or Wet Deck at the W Hotel. It’s safe to say your tropical escapade won’t be limited in terms of flavor.

Reserva Conchal also offers a sizable sample of Costa Rica’s biodiversity thanks to its 98-acre national wildlife refuge. There, 32 bird species, 8 reptile species, and a wide variety of deers, sloths and amphibians interact with the exotic vegetation they call home. This wonderful natural setting can be explored in many ways, like one of the six hiking trails available within the premises, or the biking trail for those more inclined to a faster pace.

Finally, there’s the cherry on top: the glorious Playa Conchal itself, where the picturesque mantle of seashells and calm, turquoise waters depict one of the most welcoming sights in the Gold Coast. You really got to experience it for yourself.
