Winery Club Tour – Our Picks For Wine Clubs In The Boise & Garden City Area

“America’s Next Great Wine Region” has been said to be the Snake River Valley. Thus, making Boise and the surrounding Treasure Valley a rising hot spot for wine connoisseurs.

Not only are there plenty of good wineries around town, many Boise wine clubs cannot be beat! Many local wineries have phenomenal wine club offerings that are not only perfect to join but to also give as gifts. If you are looking for a wine club in the Boise area and can’t decide on which one, here is a list of a few of our favorites.

BOISE
HYDE PARK FINE WINES – NORTH END, BOISE

Hyde Park Fine Wines is located on 13th Street in the heart of the historic North End district in Boise. This cute shop has a cozy ambiance, making for the perfect place to meet friends for a glass of wine. Sit outside next to the outdoor fire pits with your dog, or head inside to the library of wines from floor to ceiling.

If you are looking for a particular wine – you have come to the right spot. Owner, Scott McCoy, is the most knowledgeable and helpful wine aficionados there is. Oh, and a sidenote – he is also hilarious and makes great reels on Instagram. For a laugh, check them out here.

You can search for wine by region, varietal, style, or occasion. The wine shop does not serve food but does encourage guests to bring in their own food if they so choose. They will even supply the flatware! You can also shop online in a library of over 800 wine options or have the wine locally delivered.
HYDE PARK FINE WINES’ WINE CLUB:

For only $65/month, club members will receive a selection of three wines from a different country. McCoy will choose the bottles from top-tier products that represent three distinct appellations. He will personalize each subscription box with your name on it as well as a description of tasting notes, history of the wine selection, pairing suggestions and vintner stories.

Once a month you will also receive a FREE tasting flight, wine pickup party and 15% of all bottles in the store and online. We love this wine club, because it gives locals a chance to try wines that they otherwise might not have. We also love that the owner makes the club feel very personal, and he is known for choosing the BEST wines.

If you haven’t checked out Hyde Park Fine Wines, you must! You won’t be disappointed. For more information, visit their website.

FORK’S RESTAURANT – DOWNTOWN BOISE

Fork Restaurant, located on 8th Street, in the center of Downtown Boise is a “sustainable” restaurant with a “loyal to local” pledge, a commitment that the restaurant has made to source their key ingredients from local Boise and Northwest farmers, ranchers, bakers, distillers, brewers, producers and cheese makers.

FORK WINES’ CLUB:

In 2020, the local restaurant discovered the hype around wine increased (cough* COVID cough*), introducing ‘Fork’s Essential Wine Club’ with three different membership levels. All the wines will be sourced from Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, to align with the local pledge to keep things local or regional. Fork has been given the ‘Award of Excellence’ by Wine Spectator nine years in a row – so we trust they know they know a thing or two about wine.

Fork offers three different clubs, including the Select, Choice and Prime – all offering different options for you or a special someone.

Depending on the tier, receive a minimum of 3 bottles per quarter with a $65/year membership fee. All wines will come with tasting notes with suggested food pairing directly from the Fork’s chef. For your club membership, you can choose between an all red package or a blended package of 2 red and a white. When you dine at the restaurant (which is superb), also enjoy 5% off bottles of wine while you are there.

This is one of our favorite wine clubs due to the restaurants commitment to supporting local. For more information, visit their website.
FRANKLIN HOUSE – BOISE NORTH END

Franklin House came to be after two local friends sharing a dream of updating old homes. When one of Boise’s oldest (what used to be) “ice house” became available, they jumped on the opportunity to restore a corner home, built in 1896, on the corner of 15th and Franklin.

The house features five bedrooms, two with private hot-tubs and four bathrooms, that are available to book for overnight stays. It is such a fun way to stay in the heart of Boise, while not having to stay in a hotel. The two owners have transformed the backyard into a beer garden, available for guests – featuring hammock swings, fire pits, great selection of wines and rotating taps.

FRANKLIN HOUSE’S WINE CLUB:

This is one of our favorite wine club options in the Boise area because it is one of the most affordable option in the area. For just $35/month members will receive expertly curated wines from all corners of the world. Depending on the club you choose to join, you will receive one to two bottles monthly, with access to member events, 10% discount on all backyard beverage purchases, and one of our favorite perks – 20% discount on one Franklin House room booking per year. Can you say a steal?!

GARDEN CITY

COILED

Coiled, located in Garden City, just outside of Boise, can be found nestled along the Boise River. The winery is named in honor of Idaho’s first grape-growing appellation, the Snake River Valley. Coiled’s visitors are encouraged to visit the winery to see where the wine is made, while also enjoying the beautiful setting along the river. Guests can also sample their offerings in the inviting and elegant setting of Coiled’s tasting rooms.

COILED’S WINE CLUB

Coiled’s Wine Club is perfect for those who want to have flexibility when it comes to their wine selection. Choose between the Monty Python (6 bottles twice per year) or the Snake Charmer (aka: “The Full Monty” with 12 bottles twice per year) club. Both clubs allow you to choose the wines, receive 10 – 15% discount on purchased wines, have access to limited production wines, receive invitations to private parties and have free tastings each month at the tasting room. For a deeper dive into their options visit their website.

This is our favorite wine club in the Boise area due to its flexibility. Many clubs have preselected wines, but Coiled’s allows you to curate a selection that best suits your taste buds!
TELAYA WINE CO.

This is one of our favorite wineries in the Boise area. Tucked along the Boise River on the infamous Green Belt in Garden City, this family-owned winery has some of the best wine and ambiances around. Open daily, sit outside on their patio and lawn for tastings, grab a bite to eat at local rotating food trucks and catch live music!

Telaya opened in 2008 and has been focused on creating wines that are affordable yet exceptional ever since. They have award winning wines from both the Columbia Valley and the Snake River Valley, making for a winery that has quickly become a local staple.

TELAYA WINE CLUB:

We choose this wine club based on its unbeatable location. The wine club will inspire you to relax and make a visit to this stunning winery along the Boise River as often as you can. Its owners did an impeccable job of creating a beautiful setting for its visitors and wine club members to enjoy – lawn chairs, river views, patio space, and an indoor/outdoor feel.

As a Telaya Wine Club member, you will receive 12 bottles per year with access to exclusive events and certain wines. Can you say a Rosé release party?! Dinners and library tastings are exclusively offered. 12% off additional bottle purchases and 22% off additional case orders are also a large perk to its members.

This wine club has been wildly popular among people of all ages. If you are looking for an excuse to get down to the Boise Greenbelt, drink wine and enjoy friends and family – this wine club is perfect for you!
CINDER WINES

Just three minutes from Downtown Boise, in Garden City, Cinder is a Treasure Valley wine lovers’ favorite. In fact, Cinder Wines has been hailed as one of the “West’s Best Urban Wineries” by Sunset Magazine – so obviously, it is a must visit. And fun fact, the winery is named after the volcanic cinder that is beneath many of the vineyards the company works with.

The tasting room is large, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about all things wine. The winery has won awards for its Shiraz and Off-Dry Riesling, so make sure to order those when you stop by!
CINDER WINE CLUB:

For the serious wine lover with a discerning palate! Members receive 12 bottles of their choosing, twice annually. Here are some other perks:
